@#$BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Adrien Granados on Tuesday told a Bill Cosby date rape joke, stereotyped Asians and African Americans and took pot shots at Filipino boxing star Danny Garcia during a promotional event in advance of their welterweight fight Jan. 19 in Las Vegas.

@#$ Granados followed that up by saying Garcia drinks and promotes Hennessy cognac, “(expletive) his money up, (expletive) up his taxes’’ and, with spectators at the press conference starting to boo Granados, he made a racial reference to Garcia.
@#$Earlier in the day at the Waldorf Astoria hotel, site of the media event, Granados indicated he thinks the low blows, crude jokes and pot shots are part of his job during the buildup of the Showtime pay-per-view bout.
@#$“I got to be the one that sells the fight,’’ said Granados. “His English isn’t that well, you know. Isn’t that good. All he do is smile and say one word at a time. So I got to sell the fight.’’

@#$For his part, Garcia on Tuesday smiled a lot, praised God and acknowledged he’d like a rematch with Floyd Mayweather. A rematch likely hinges on Garcia beating Granados, but Garcia didn’t make any outrageous statements about the fight.@#$
